Summary: Gus’s emotions run close to the surface as he remembers his father.

Loving Memories

Aidan asks his Grandpa about the paintings he found tucked away upstairs in the secret closet. Gus slowly climbs the stairs up to the attic, making his way over to the mysterious cabinet that seems to blend into the woodwork. He’s surprised to see the old wooden rack full of Justin’s paintings; they haven’t seen the light of day in decades.

Tears swell up in Gus’s eyes as he remembers his father, and how in love they were with one another. Aidan looks so much like his great grandfather it melts Gus’s heart, and stokes his memories. Aidan climbs up onto his Grandpa’s lap.

Sitting together in the old rocking chair, Gus proceeds to tell him the greatest love story ever told.

I loved that pic, and photo-shopped to look like a painting just made it all the better. Writing from Gus's perspective is always fun, and having him reflect on the past is so nostalgic. Stirring up so many memories, for him and us...

I know how you give recs for fics you enjoy. thought I'd send one your way. Not sure if you've read it or not. I'm about 1/2 way through. OMG...I love it. I've gone through every emotion possible. Have laughed out loud numerous times. I mean seriously laughed and carried on reading still giggling.
It's fairly long. 55 chapters. Have you read this one before?? It's is definitely on the top of my list now.

Is it possible to save it was a pdf file? When you right click do you have the option to save as "All Files?"

Just a heads up...in my workings putting it into a file for my kindle, found out that while tehre is an ending to this one, it's a complete cliff hanger. She does continue on with a second book, but only 1 chapter posted. I wrote adn asked if she intends to continue on. Perhaps if she's encouraged enough, she will do so??
