I want my old journal back... Why don't you ever ask us how we feel about all the changes you're making before you just change them??? How do I get my old journal back???
Today you asked us to comment on the new changes to our journals... How could I comment without looking at the changes??? Now I don't see that comment box any longer... I'm I happy about the changes you've made??? NO, I MEAN HELL NO...

Thank you for your inquiry. You can switch back to the old version (until
the beta period for the redesign is completed), but the steps to do so are
a bit unwieldy because an icon is not displaying properly at the moment.


When viewing any system page that shows the standard blue
header banner (such as the home page), there will be a link labeled
'Post in blog' near the right side of the banner, a blank space,
and then an envelope icon. Click on that blank space between 'Post in
blog' and the envelope icon'. The image at href='http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/markf/1314111/43922/43922_original.jpg'>http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/markf/1314111/43922/43922_original.jpg
shows how this will appear.

A dialog box will appear with
information about the redesign -- at the bottom of that box, there is a
'Switch back to old version' link you can use to return to the

NO I WANT TO KNOW WHY YOU NEVER ASK THE USERS BEFORE YOU CHANGE THINGS... WE PAY FOR THIS SERVICE, AND WE DESERVE A CHOICE...

AFTER YOUR BETA PERIOD WILL WE HAVE A CHOICE TO REJECT THE CHANGES... OR ARE WE STUCK WITH THEM???

*sigh* I already changed mine back to the "old" way but the question remains: How long before we don't have that option? *shakes head* Guess they never heard of the phrase, "If it ain't broke don't fix it."

Here, here... I couldn't have said it better... Thank goodness I can change it back... But I'm really waiting for an answer to why they don't ask us first... I'm not holding my breath...

Yup...this one sucks. Turned it on and got the new version suddenly out of the blue. Not sure I like it. I agree with the thought that we should have been asked first, or to have the options after the Beta is done.

I really don't know why they do this a couple of times a year. It always pisses everyone off, you'd think they ask our opinion before spending all the money to make these changes... I refuse to go quietly... Ha, ha, ha...

I hate the new LJ. It's UGLY!!! So I reverted back to the old one. Thanks for the link to do this. And I do agree with you: if it ain't broke don't fix it. Why can't they leave things alone?
