YAY!! So happy for you darling!

I've never been to a QaF con before and was only able to get the experience thanks to the kindness of my LJ friends who shared their pics and reports on here (and lately on Twitter... )

I so wiiiiish I was able to be there EP since 2016 is my big five O year and the Toronto con promises to be really special. *sigh* There's no way I can book any trip abroad a year in advance though because of work and money situation and all that. OTOH I think there's no point in waiting until next summer to try and deal with booking con tickets (not to mention plane tickets and accommodation ) because by then everything could very well be sold out *sigh*

Oh well, I didn't mean to be a party pooper...

Have great time planning everything. Hopefully more cast members will confirm their attendance :)

I totally sympathies with you, that's how I've felt about all the con's in Spain, Germany and even LA...

I could never afford to go because of the cost, airfare and then there's the speaking a foreign language, money exchange, etc...

But Toronto is close enough to drive to, and it is going to be special because of the show having been filmed there and everything...

Just the possibility of have lunch at the diner, drinks at Woody's and driving past the loft, Michael's apartment and the girls house...

I'm getting giddy just thinking about it... Squeals!!!

I wish you could come, I'd love to meet you... Maybe another time, or another life!

I'm being optimistic. Already saving in hope to be able to go. I've never been to one before, but, going to toronto will give me an excuse to see family and go around my old stomping grounds. Sadly, flying to toronto from the west coast is almost the same price as going to Europe! It's nuts.
BTW...a question...Where they mention photos with guests, but not including the special guests, who are considered the special guests? TBH...if the special guests include Gale and Randy...that, to me is a huge money grab.

From my understanding special guess so far are Dean Anderson (Blake), and Fab ??? (Ethan), I know I'm bad I don't know his name.

Is it rude of me to hope Hal doesn't show. There's just something about him that rubs me the wrong way...

Randy has already committed to the con, and I'm hoping that with the con being in Toronto that most everyone will come. It's not like they have to travel to Europe or anything, of course that's me being optimistic...

Who knows with you coming from the west coast, maybe Gale will be on your flight. A girl can always dream... He, he, he...

I'm with you on the whole Hal thing, but I think there are enough fans of his (looking...searching...seeing nothing. lol) that he may come. BUT....who knows. I'm sure he's been invited to others, (besides Cologne)but obviously hasn't gone. I completely agree though. Things that he has said in interviews proves him to be unprofessional. even if he feels that way, you shouldn't state them publicly!

If I think I'm able to go, then I'll get things in increments. If I can get the airfare far enough in advance, it should save me some. It would be such fun to finally meet so many people that I've chatted with almost daily for years.

As for G on the same plane......would be great! If he inadvertently goes to Vancouver first, lol.

Right now the special guest is not announced as Elke is still listing guests and is trying to put everything for us together :)
I don't think everybody from the cast is invited, because that wouldn't be affordable for us fans anymore.

I have been in Cologne this year and can tell you that I am happy that Dean will be there because he is a sweetheart and really funny!

I keep crossing my fingers that Gale will be one of the cast members there, it would be great to see him... I guess all I can do is keep my fingers crossed. This is my first con, and I'm so excited.

Not only to meet the cast, but meeting all the fangirls will be amazing. Having been friends with them for so long, and feeling like I already know them... And then there's the fact that it's in the same city where the show was filmed!!!
